he Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD) is a private diplomacy organisation founded on the principles of humanity, impartiality and independence. Its mission is to help prevent, mitigate, and resolve armed conflict through dialogue and mediation. HD is currently looking for a:

Donor Partnership Officer at 80-100%

Based in Geneva

Starting date: April 2019

The small donor relations and fundraising team ensures that HD’s income meets the organisation’s needs. It develops and maintains best possible relations with government and private donors, produces proposals and reports to core donors, and supports programme staff across regions in their efforts to secure funding. The Donor Partnership Officer will be responsible for performing wide-ranging activities including:

· Co-ordinate and follow-up on the implementation of Donor Strategic Partnership grants spread over projects and regions;

· Review donor requirements and raise awareness of managers on the need for compliance;

· Review, check and control grant contractual documents, proposals and internal grant processes;

· Centralise, compile and control the finance and administration of cross-regional grants and funding arrangements as per donor requirements;

· Liaise with respective project managers to monitor and review donor narratives and ensure the projects’ alignment with donor requirements;

· Harmonise the implementation of donor-required multi-programme conditions such as Safeguarding and International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) compliance;

· Perform the annual grant management internal controls;

· Support in the creation of the Annual Programme Report, mainly by coordinating the narrative reporting;

· Travel to our Regional Offices as requested with possible temporary relocation to HD’s regional

offices.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate should have:

· Hold a Master of Science in Administration, international relations, international law or in any relevant field;

· Experience with strategic relationships and donor agreements;

· Cross-department work experience;

· Knowledge of compliance with the IATI or similar initiatives;

· Precision and detail-oriented focus;

· Excellent English and writing skills (bilingual English and French is an advantage);

· At ease with budgeting processes, numbers and Excel;

Personality: The successful candidate is able to thrive in a small team, across a diverse organisation, supporting, coordinating with and mobilising colleagues to achieve HD’s mission. S/he will have a positive and self-driven personality as well as strong interpersonal skills.
